My 10-year journey in early childhood education began in a daycare setting. I discovered how much joy I found in supporting young children as they learned, played, and built their first friendships. While I valued the experience, I soon realized I was looking for a childcare setting where I could build longer connections with children and families. In my day home, I have the privilege of caring for children from infancy through kindergarten, allowing me to support their growth across all of those important early years. Watching them progress—from their first steps to their first stories, from sensory exploration to early problem-solving—is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. This continuity of care helps children feel secure, supported, and understood at every stage.
I believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, challenged, and deeply connected to the world around them. I work intentionally each day to nurture those connections through meaningful relationships, individualized learning experiences, and a true partnership with families.
My approach to programming is both specialized and individualized. I observe each child closely to understand their interests, developmental needs, and unique learning styles. I plan activities in small-group or one-on-one settings to help every child grow at their own pace. Sensory invitations, early literacy and numeracy experiences, creative art opportunities, and hands-on STEM exploration are woven throughout our days. Children spend generous time outside every day—exploring nature, discovering seasonal changes, engaging in imaginative play, and developing both gross-motor and problem-solving skills.
Nutritious, balanced meals and snacks are another key part of our day.
Above all, I strive to create a caring, calm, and welcoming atmosphere where children feel valued and loved. Strong communication and partnership with parents is essential to this goal. I share daily updates, photos, developmental observations.
