Hi my name is Elaine!
My day home is located on the South side. My daughter, my husband and a small sized dog live in our home. I decided to open a day home to accommodate the needs of our family as well as support other families looking for childcare. I’m very passionate about caring for people. I have a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certificate. I graduated in the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and I’ve worked as a Registered Nurse for about 2 years in the hospital there. I came to Lethbridge in 2016 as an international student and completed my Practical Nurse diploma at Lethbridge Polytechnic.
Once I had my own child, I understood the importance of developing a good support system and creating play opportunities to promote children’s optimal growth and development. The day home is located on the lower level of the house which is bright and spacious. There are separate areas for playing, eating and napping. We have a large, fenced backyard which gives children enough space for outdoor activities. I ensure a safe and clean environment. We offer age-appropriate educational activities, nutritious and balanced meals and snacks, outdoor play and physical activities, and a planned daily routine that promotes learning, comfort and fun.
